| I think the game should be playable for both, just let it have a very low graphics configuration and a very very high one. I play DotA thanks to its LOWEST configuration, LOL. my laptop bought new is 200$ right now, but mine has 7 years old, so u get the idea xD however im getting a new one soon |

| i7 isn't really needed for Dota, probably not for Dora2 either. An i5 is a bit cheaper and will suffice perfectly The extra-cores are just overkill, the Dota2 engine will most likely not be able to use them all. |

| DotA 2 shouldn't be so demanding for computers because they'll lose lot of players. I think it will br in range with DotA 1, little better. |

| games you mentioned (sc2, black ops) were and are pointed to become next gen mp legendary games. there will always be their "beforz" - sc 1 or cod 2 for players who are not prepared for new games. gameplay of those games can only be improved by fascinating graphic things, but for game like dota, gameplay is everything. and it definetly stands before awesome graphic details.
all "pro" dota gamers told me same thing > i only want similar exp and gameplay which will be ruined with too many special effects. birds on the skies? bats in the scourge base? who cares? i am here for kills. hmm, know what? add more blood. |

| As every1 knows, now days the Graphics is 1 of the most important parts of a game. For example Black ops.Now think of Minecraft, now think of Blacks ops... What graphics do you prefer? What they should try to do is make it a Wide range of graphics settings from "The P.C's which run on coal to the P.C's which can play Black ops in full Graphics" |

..just like SC player go to SC2... Gameplay is the MOST important and graphic also VERY important the problem is like u say : can dota2 make a wide range option in graphic... for sys req maybe can use HON as comparisson (dota2 should be higher i think) maybe like this : 2++ GHZ processor VGA better than > Gforce 5 or 6 (256-512mb) min 1 GB RAM |

| That is pretty much how low i think the minimum graphics req will go... Im guessing you could make it so that you use low end pc even lower then what you said there and then OC it ... get some cooling (Fan R250 for good 1) then your all set to play 1 or 2 games of DotA before your PC overheats. |
