Anything other than a one time fee would be strange, I wouldn't expect that.

Lol... if they made DotA 2 a monthly fee, they'd have a hard chance at competing against the other DotA genres that are already out.
League of Legends is "free", but not really a dota-clone.
Heroes of Newerth, however, is a one-time fee and can be considered a dota-clone.

They'll probably make it the same price in order to stay in the competition.

Exactly that. They really deserve (at least ice does) some physical feedback (read:money) from us.

As i can see, we all agree to pay for the game. Hopefully they won't make the price too huge. Even a price for full game would be kinda ridiculous..

There is no way that valve is going to charge us monthly for DotA2, it is not the way to make a world wide competitive game, NOT EASY to introduce the game to anyone of your friends that are new to DotA and IT IS NOT VALVE STYLE, valve knows how to make a competitive game successful. Once they charge it monthly, they could pretty much say byebye to the asia market.
People in my country China are crazy about DotA, the DotA community in China is absolutely huge, and it is still growing. Every one in my country gets the news that DotA2 is coming. They all hope the same as the rest of the world, they don't mind buying the game but pretty much every one is negative about charging monthly. The world will no longer share exactly the same map if they finally charge it monthly.

Yep, no contra words to this post. But there is another question.

Isn't kinda ridiculous to consider DotA 2 as a full game like we consider that Mass Effect 2, Total War series, GtA 4 are. And with that, i think we shouldn't get priced for a full game, but something more modest would be totally ok?

Exactly as i said,

DotA 2 shouldn't be considered as a full game, cause it (objectively) really isn't. Full price would be to high.

Perhaps it didn't start as a full game, but I wouldn't mind paying for it as a full game, because I simply think it's worth it.

I would pay nearly any amount of money as long as its 1 time pay, im so crazy for this game. But i would HATE it if they ask for monthly fees so they keep developing it, specially because icefrog has already done an awesome work with DotA for free, outstanding.

Also i would hate if they make things in the way - pay to become awesome (buy new heroes, new items and so on). Actually i wouldn't hate. I just won't play the game to see some rich 8 - year old kid owns me in the game cause he has money to buy new stuff.

Hahaha, im sure that's not gonna happen, llike a thousand percent sure. That would remove all the sense in playing DotA (which i think is something like EVERYONE starts with the SAME chances to win). Something they are doing which is awesome, is that if you are a player that coaches make guides and other stuff you can win aesthetic stuff for your favorite heroes, like different skins so your hero looks outstanding... like a red Earth Shaker :3

Yes, but human stupidity never fails to surprise me. All this just sound too good to be true, so there simply must be a catch which i m missing to see at this point.
