I was in the HoN closed beta and I still have the same opinion.
But I am with you. It's not right to compare Dota 2 with HoN at the moment. HoN have been in development for a long time, Dota 2 has not. I am sure they will fix a lot of stuff, but if I am going to like Dota 2, I don't know.

Lazze you must understand that Valve is trying to import EVERY DotA hero to Dota 2 before its release, wheres the HoN beta never had to have that done, heros were just added as they came

people played hon because they wanted a better engine of dota. since dota 2 is here we all wanna play dota 21

I do not think so, some players may not want to leave the game, because it is free and they played it for a long time. But one can never know, right?

the other reason ppl (including me at HoN garena) keep playing HoN is :
- they not have dota-2 beta-key yet (wait for dota2)
- has many friend who play/migrate Hon than dota1
- too many,..leaver and Map hack in wc3 dota 1

the only thing which i don't like from hon is "Imba hero"

Let HoN be, i played it once, it was good but copied heroes yeah. but its like and advanced feel of Dota 2 :3 :bounce:

Hon was very interesting game when it was open-beta. Now it sucks -- stupid new account-system. Sad heroes, Problems with servers. Will play dota2 as soon as i catch my key for it! =)

Since HoN was hacked there has always been problems once in a while.. I don't think it has nothing to do with DotA 2 ...

It doesn't matter if it's beacuse it got hacked, if it went f2p. HoN is going to "die" beacuse people saw it as "DotA 2" and now that the official DotA 2 is coming out and with strong possibilities of being f2p there is no reason for veterans to stay in HoN. Also HoN's population wasn't even that high in fact it was somewhat small...

People don't even know if the game will be f2p or p2p yet and your talking about 60$
