Dota is better, HoN it's not bad, but is too dark!

Nah i dont really mind the colour but the game isnt user friendly. the shops and interface etc... me no likey.

The Heroes of Newerth developers have had this idea planned for a long time, and only now decided to implement it into their system. It's not like they saw where DotA2 was headed and suddenly changed their business method, no. I'll admit that they're planning is less than favorable, but I'm just saying; do a little research.

Ok im sorry, Never played HoN don't want to and it just seemed to me like a desperate move didn't know they where planing.

Actually goes free is the best way HoN can do to stay alive in this bad situation specially when dota2 come out

HoN going f2p all of a sudden just makes anyone think that they are all desperate. And you cant deny that.

But he can't stay alive, HoN is copy of dota whit better graphics, and valve working on graphics, and if dota 2 be f2p it's over for HoN!

But you can't blame them too much for going F2P, they had to grow their player-base for the onslaught Dota 2 would have brought. Personally I think it's a much better game than LoL but their business model just failed (they had higher numbers in beta).

Actually, Hon costs more now, they copied the LoL model where you have to pay for heroes and/or work to earn them with a free weekly hero rotation. (No runes or masteries though, everyone is on a even playing field except buying heroes). They also introduced something that made existing players have to pay for new heroes, which kinda screwed over the community as they broke the promises that they would never do that (in their Retail FAQ, if you bought the game). Honestly, the Hon product is great but the company that made the game is one of the worst I've ever dealt with. I know Valve isn't known to be the greatest either but I don't see how they can be any worst.

Yea for sure (CS was the first game I played seriously), but I do think Valve is a lot better than the company that made Hon. But they have some flaws too, mainly people make fun of the dates they give for releases and how they don't hold up to them. But like I said, I don't see how they can be any worst than S2.
