Of course, articles will follow potential changes in the original topic and be updated accordingly.

yea, that should be implemented too. Place where you can, in short, read all about things that are currently discussed on the forum. Although implementing such thing is not so important now, but it certainly will become in the future.

I think we should try to make a concept of the category.

I have few ideas for it's general look, but don't have time right now to present them. But i am sure you will like them. tomorrow ;)

hey, i really think that a Topic about DotA, just DotA All Stars, would be a good idea (if it does exist, then sorry, i did not see it), since we all have played DotA and we love it, it would be awesome to talk about it, specially now, were Dota 2 is way to far to be realeased.

Personally i really wanted to talk about to DotA and found no place to place posts, and i think that the off topic is a little much about other random stuff

About the blog thing, i dont like blogs, i rather stay at the forums, even with looong post, because advising what the thread is about then you know if you want to read it or not. However, implementing a blog inside the site would be better than having other page for the blog, maybe i can be added to the top bar saying something like BLOG

this forums is a nice example of how it can be http://www.minecraftnews.net/forum.php (i really like how that forum is arranged) also, it shows a chatbox, that works as an example for that too

The colors, i think that the forum is somehow too fancy, it needs more of a clear interface, with not so many dark colors

Hero guides forum anyone?

1. I was also thinking about implementing DotA category in forum, but just wasn't sure how it would look like and what sub-categories should i implement in it. Making categories like DotA Hero Guides would be pretty unnecessary cause there are tons of other forums with that and similar content. Furthermore, if i create DotA category, i should create similar categories for HoN and LoL too. So, if you have an idea about how that category should look like on Homepage, i will gladly make it if others agree.

2. I used term Blog cause nothing else bumped on my mind. My intention wasn't to create some kind of extern official forum's blog, but to create additional category with title Forum's Blog within the forum's main body which will be moderated only by moderators (bloggers) who will make topics about popular threads that are currently being discussed. But that idea is still being processed.

3. About design.. My original intention was to create a Forum which would look totally different than all other copy-paste-design forums. When i was in process of choosing colors, i thought that copying Icefrog's avatar design would look pretty cool, so i've chosen ice-theme with corresponding icons.

All in all, i really appreciate your detailed feedback. And hopefully, u will continue to do it. +rep for your effort.

1. i would also like to see DotA category. We could discuss things what, as Howlgram said, don't fit DotA random talks. Like, discussing current versions, making heroes and items contests and so on.

2. exactly what was i thinking avalon. I will make my concept today as i said.

3. i really like current design of the forum. it's pretty original and not default. So i would not like to see it changed.

So, as i have promised, here is my idea.

For making blog, there are 2 options. One is to make completely separated category and second is to create category between Forum and Introduction category called Forum's Blog. First option is, in my opinion, better looking and more professional and i would go for that one.

Now we come to it's inner design.. There are also few options. One is to make unique topic for each popular topic that is currently being discussed and second is to make one huge topic for all forum topics. I like first option more cause it will be possible for more members to write blog entries and not just one moderator. And what's more, it would be far more organised.

For the end, what and how to write?
My idea is to pick popular thread, like will you play it even if you ll need to pay it thread and write topic in Forum's Blog category which will rezime general opinions of members of this forum. Of course, that blog topic can be subjective and objective in same time.
General idea is to save time of the new members if they don't have time to read all those hundreds of posts in that topic to see what we think, but to come to it's referring blog topic and read in short (100-150 words) about that.
But that's only basic idea. I will edit this post later and write something more, but i need to go right now.

I think that design of forum is nice and unique. If you have some idea and example you can say.


and blog can only help - any site, group, blog etc. about DotA 2 connect ideas.

New suggestion. what if instead of the group's name under our avatar, why not Icons.
I mean, we could make an Icon for each usergroup. it will look much better.

so i see everyone actually likes the theme of the forum, and its pretty cool, so the theme is all great

i see a DotA, LoL and HoN categories has been made, and only DotA has got lots of posts xD i thought that only DotA would be necessary because its what all of us have played and what Dota 2 is based on, the other 2 are just other games. However i guess having more categories doesnt hurt.

But as you say, i'm with each following day more determined to delete those 2 categories.

Im used to other forums where i can check all the new posts since my last logging in 1 page, I just click something like "New Posts" and that way i can keep track of everything going-on on the forum, because all unread posts appear. Is in here anything like that? i would appreciate having something like that
