Suggestion, why not award a member a badge for completing/beating/creating a record in guiness section?

Well, at this point i don't see why not. But later, when there will be 30-40 records, where will we put all the badges?
There will probably come some hardcore guy who will try to break every single record we make.

Maybe instead of putting badge by icon create an extra tab by a players profile.. like a trophy room so that each person will have that for themselves.

I have a question though.
Lets say i break a record, ok so i get the badge.
Then somebody else comes along and breaks the record again...
does that mean that my badge is removed because i am not the current record holder or does it stay because i have put in the effort and broken the record?

well, if we are to make that trophy room, then yes, he will take over your badge. it's like divine rapier, only one can exist

I'm not exactly sure how much it is to have a bot host b-net games but a sure fire way to bring traffic to the website is to start your own client in which people have to register at forums to play past a certain number of games, appeal a ban or just check their stats.

Considering the fact that this is a DOTA 2 based community it should be named such as to attract the attention of pub players. You could have the game names be something like:

Dota2portal.com #10 apem (because pubs luv -EM for whatever reason)

As it shows in the custom game list you're already advertising even if nobody joins the game which is highly unlikely. Dotacash, dotapub.net, thr, dcl etc. have all had success with this method and frankly since it's currently all about forum traffic, game moderation does not need to be high on the priority list.

If D2 truly arrives within the year then I think that this sort of jumpstart may be just the vessel to put you ahead of any impending plans playdota.com would have to monopolize the D2 community.

None of this is meant for DOTA 2, it is only meant to get traffic through these forums in preparation for the release of D2.

1.Playdota.com which was established by Icefrog after him and Pendragon had their fallout, was the reason DotaAllstars.com met it's end shortly after.

2. I don't imagine (from personal experience) Ice running a separate D2 site from PD.com or acknowledging another site as the home base for D2, hence PD.com and the D2 forum may be consolidated at the playdota site.

3. Since this forum is already established and dedicated solely to D2, it's probably best to get as many members as possible before Ices new forum is established.

4. Having a BOT host REGULAR DOTA games on B-NET with the websites url as the game name will get people to stop by.
THink more like DotaCash except our true intention isn't just statting, or moderation but rather attracting enough people to force PD.com users to acknowledge this forum as THE D2 forum.

Once D2 is released and Ices forum gains momentum, this site will have already established it's presence to the point of contention.

Put some games in this forums like playdota.com
