So I've been experimenting with different hotkeys recently and would like to know what you guys use. I personally am terrible at panning with the mouse and just don't see why you would want your mouse to be away from the action so much so i pan with wasd. I also have the razer naga so i have 1-6 as my abilities, zxcvbn for my items, tab to upgrade skill, q for attack move, and t to stop.

Anyway the fact that you have a razer naga hex improves alot your hotkeys for items .

Ah, I tried using 1-6 for abilities and 7-12 for items but all the keys are so close together i would sometimes accidentally ulti and i can't be having that :p

The legacy keys for that I'm more familiar with them.
Alt + QWEASD for items.

How did you know that hes a blc user/player?
Do you still play the game?

Im a legacy key user as well, WC Dota players have an advantage

I've never been able to use mouse scrolling well in any game, not even in any RTS game, I've just always been terrible at it. So I use WASD scrolling too. I've tried so hard to switch over to ESDF grouping for more keys, but after like 15 years of WASD it's so ingrained and natural I'm not sure I can ever change it lol.

I've never thought about switching to esdf, that'd make a lot of sense. I might try that today but like you said, i've been using wasd for all my games for about 7 years. It's not exactly an easy thing to get rid of lol I'm going to be playing dota for a long time though so it might be worth sticking with it

I've heard of a lot of really serious FPS gamers using ESDF as well. That's where I really heard of it first.

the standerd 123456,QWERDF

just the default one which is the qwerdf for skills and alt+qweasd. i just got used to it.

1-6 is items and the rest stock and default boring but works for me

I use the default, except for the itemslot 1, wich i place in the spacebar, and itemslot 2, for mousebutton4

i still use legacy for spells and 1,2,3,4,5,6 for items

i was using legacy but switched to qwerd. really hard but i think if i get used to it it would be much more easier. items are wc3 inventory.. alt q-e a-d
