About The Art of Warfare
The Art of Warfare is an established and structured gaming community that features over 2300 members spread out around the world. Founded in 2001, TAW has worked hard to establish a reputation within communities for various different FPS, RTS, RPG and MMO games. It has maintained a large player base for a long time due to its organization and leadership and will be around for quite some time. The Dota 2 division is one of the largest in all of TAW. Come be a part of an awesome community!

How It Works
We have 3 battalions: North American, European and Southeast Asian. The NA battalion practices are at 10pm EST (GMT -5) on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays. The EU battalion practices are at 7pm (GMT 0) on Mondays and Thursdays. The OC battalion only has one practice day currently, which is Sunday at 8pm AEST (GMT +10). The SE battalion practices are currently on Saturday at 8pm PHT/SGT (GMT +, but may change in the future.

During practices we arrange in-houses using teams of similar skill level, sometimes with coaches watching on and offering advice for those involved (this is mostly for the lower tiers, however). In-houses are usually Captain's Mode, unless all 10 people involved agree to do another mode to change things up a bit.

Are you concerned about the skill level of your potential clan-mates being too good or too bad? We have a wide variety of skill levels within the clan, from top tier competitive play all the way down to lower tier “casual” and everything in between. We do our best to keep people of similar skill level together and each team even.

Practices aren't the only times we play of course! Outside of practices many people get together and play to avoid solo queuing and just have fun. Aside from the practices that we set up, we’re looking into doing in-house tournaments once more teams form. Even if you already have an established team you might want to check us out if you’re looking for competitive play and a chance to up your game! Teams are kept together for practices unless there is no way to match them against another group of 5 fairly.

Requirements

- Must be at least 15 years old.- Must be friendly and be willing to participate in a family oriented atmosphere that features a high diversity of members.- Must be willing to attend two practices a week, or be able to let someone know if you will miss.- Have a working mic and be willing to use Team Speak. English is our main language, so please be able to speak it enough that we can understand you!- Be willing to follow our Code of Ethics.- Be willing to have fun!

Yeah, the application is missing a few countries. Doesn't mean they're not allowed of course. You'll just need to select the next closest one.

People will now be placed into teams based on their goals and "stats", rather than playing with everyone at random.
