I'm feeling nostalgic of the good old days like november 2011 this portal was a differnet place. I admit the ui and layout was worse but the portal was buzzing with activity those were the good old days. Everyone in antipation of getting a dota 2 beta key ah those were the days

I think the decline in activity is due to the release of Dota2 itself.

The solution is not to draw a bunch of new members, but rather to keep members. We need to keep the forum interesting. People only come here for some sort of gain: beta key, help, forming a clan.

Few actually come here for the forum experience. We need to develop a good forum experience.

I once suggested the allowance of moderate trolling in serious sections, just to keep the informality about, yet maintaining professionalism by relatively strict moderation.

Trolling has always been allowed in whatever section, excessive trolling however is not allowed. The Portal's Global Rules never mentioned trolling is not allowed...

I wasnt here in the time of Rachel and fiyah but I think less people were active then
