Off. I've offed it since I started Dota 2.... i just find that auto attacking messes me up and spoils my timing

It depends on the player and on the hero, for example when i play sniper i always turn it off but on heroes like weaver on.

Auto attack off makes juking a lot easier, not to mention that lasthitting is easier too (for me)

I think that there is honestly no advantage to having auto attack on. You will automatically push the lane and if you're waiting behind trees for a gank and you get vision of a lane creep ,yeah

had this off. its easier to land last hits this way. but players that are used to spamming s from dota 1 will have a hard time learning this. this is also implemented in hon, but there it is H.

I usually have it on, since i playeed dota since the very start and autoattacking never really bugged me too much, however i agree that in some occasions having it off might be better, as for sniper's lasthitting. Sometimes you tend to get juked more easily with auto-attack off though, so everyone should try what works best for them

if u familiar with the game and u wanna farm successfully u need the auto atack OFF only the new players have it ON cuz they dont know how to close it or they find it stupid to push "A" for atack whyle theyr hero can auto atack just cuz they dont know the diference

o so you dont miss any hits on enemies, if you want to stand still jsut hold the hero

always having it on, never had a problem just rightclick where you stand to prevent random attacks, learned to play it that way in d1.

I think autoattack off is better because there is only one situation when you would like to autoattack is when you want to push without abilities otherwise pushing your wave isn't good as most of us know.

If auto attack is off then you have more control over yourself if you don't use the hold position command I think meaning if you go and hide in a spot in fog but you have vision of a lane you wont auto attack the creeps/heroes that show up. That's how I see it. Having it on just makes you push and reveal where you are.
