| Hi Guys,
I've got some games under my belt now and I'm having a hard time deciding on a hero to try to learn with. I'm pretty new to DOTA but not new to games like LoL and HoN. I've found that I"m absolutely terrible with melee champions (for example, blood seeker who is supposed to be easy to play, I end up feeding with lol), so I'd like to stick to ranged. Is it easier to learn with strength, agility, or int heroes? I'm pretty decent with mage type champions, warlock being my highest "rated" one so far in game. I'd like someone a bit easier to farm with though and some sustain. Thoughts? |

I also did some more research and found that the reason I'm sucking so bad with melee heroes is because I'm trying to last hit against ranged and keep falling victim to hard harassment, if I can lane with someone ranged I shouldn't have that problem (as bad at least). What are some good melee champs to learn with?
Well some easy melle champions to learn with are : Just 1 thing to point out : They are not easy to learn to play and master but, they are easy to play with meaning: -either if you take a stout on ursa and magina and not even feeling 20 dmg from ranged atks -or having that cleave with kunka to harras all enemys -or invisi with gondar etc. I tryed to response to your problem of being harased |

| ^ Agree with everything but Kunka because his torrent is hard to hard to land. The ult is also pretty bad; I've actually read an untrerview of a pro player who said that Admirals ultimate is the hardest skill to land in Dota 2. |

| Hello hello hello. If you're new on Dota 2/Dota,welcome and good luck learning the game first of all. Well for the moment I have only 1 idea, but it's a special for-beginners-made-super-hard-carry. Drow Ranger is one of the best carry heroes in the entire game. She has a very big atack range(625).But here are some advices: -Be very careful with her because she is pretty fragile. But she can beat the crap out of anyone if she grows up well. -Frost Arrows slow the enemy very good at lvl 4.So all you need is some atack speed items.Like Treads or even Yasha.Yasha is also good because it gives you some damage, atack speed and movement speed bonus.Good for chasing down heroes. You can collect money for Manta Style or Sange&Yasha if you want. -A Shadow Blade is always good for a surprise. This in combo with Silence and Frost Arrows can result in a very easy kill. -Never forget to buy these key items on Drow:Tarrasque,Butterfly,Daedalus and Monkey King Bar.With these you can deal devastating critical strikes.(also damage).Tarrasque will give you a lot of hp,which you need a lot thanks to Drow's fragility.Butterfly gives you the perfect atack speed, bonus damage(a total of 60.30 bonus damage and 30 agility.),and 35% Evasion which will make you hard to take down.Still,be careful. -If you don't want to die,be sure to not get in dangerous fights or ganks. If you want to farm gold fast,go with your team at ganks. But do NOT die.Or they will overpower you late game. Well, this is my current suggestion for a hero which you can play easily.Good luck! |

| ^uber disagree.
Drow range HArd Caryy don't try it sincerly.
All hard carryes are very hard to play because if you are not very carefull and you dont sacrifice gold for protection you will end feeding.
Try my choices or bazingas.
Best Regardz Blood4u. |

| Thanks all for the great feedback. I played Queen of Pain for the first time last night and ended up like 12/0 on my first game haha (pvp, not bots). Gonna stick with her for a while |
