As the title says, what are those things? Things You don't want to see in DotA 2.

That's hard to pinpoint. I'm still a little iffy on the whole mentoring system. It sounds good but we can't judge a book by its cover. When I see how that works and if it actually helps it'll be nice but here is the issue: When someone else is playing a game like Dota or HoN or LoL fractions of seconds can count. And when you tell someone to do something they wouldn't have done on their own they take longer to process the information and then apply it. And like I said seconds can count it can decide a kill or a death.

But things from the original Dota have pretty much polished to the point of having to be apart of dota2. Besides some personal bias against Phantom Lancer and Naga Siren I can't think of something that they shouldn't put.

That voice chatting was always a big problem for all of us. Even with the small pings, transmitions of the voice had big delays for game like DotA so you always had to relly on your teams experience in big fights. But even when i played in the same room with my friends, we had similar problems. The DotA gameplay is just to fast for some things to work.

Exactly I've had the same problems with my friends in LoL and DOTA with my friends.

and also those cheaters!,like in dota1 there's a lot of cheaters who always using maphack,etc. pls monitor those cheaters and kindly be strict of them.

Hi, I'm new so I hope I brought some new opinionsss, if not I apologize! :].
Other than the usual stuff like cheating conflicts or bugs because even after patching like in the past...they always manage to somehow get out time and time again. So far, I'm really liking what I see especially the add-ons to current options like free scrolling ability through replays, reconnect support, hero features, etc.
I think this is covered since Dota 2 will be supported by steam right? I'm assuming that we will join games into servers as if we're playing cs 1.6 or so? I hope that is the case because the most frustrating things for my friends and me were the fact that we couldn't get into games if none of us could host. Not to mention that sometimes even if we could host, due to router problems, one person couldn't join for some odd reason. However, I just wanted to get some clarification on this particularly.
This is my personal opinion and I believe many might not agree with me, but I personally don't like the switch system because when I want to pub it with some friends, the last thing I want is to pointlessly prolong the game. Also, if you have that beastly, buffed-out, carry on your own team and he switches, the games over and there is a turn around. THEN, when kids play and we don't agree to the switch on, they start attacking you with "QQ" because "we are scared of losing". Well, yeah, if this game is based on a ranking system also, then that would probably make sense. Sometimes though, people have places to go and playing a game that is meant to last 30-60 min and have it prolonged to 80 is just ridiculous sometimes.
Saying that, it brings to my mind the level of competitiveness, so I think this will probably be already implemented, but seeing sc2, I like the ranking system of it because it really allows you to play better people and experience that adrenaline and competitiveness - which is fun for me. Some of my friends keep saying I play to win and take it too seriously, but honestly the games a lot more fun if you get into it. It's like war.

You know what your right. I never liked the switch system either. The only time i think it should even be allowed if your playing a game with friends only so you can have more fun by goofing around. I dont think having a switch in the middle of a close game or a dominating one is fair even if I'm on the losing side. I don't want your pity I will take my loss like a man thank you very much. How are you to learn if people do this in some games just because they are dominating.

It doesn't really frustrate me, as it's rarely a problem, but:

Is there going to be such things as sharing/sharing courier? or how is that going to work. Just curious about that =)

hackers... HACKERS HACKERS HACKERS!!!!!!!! MAP HACKERS, ITEMS HACKERS, GOLD HACKERS, LVL HACKERS, SKILL HACKERS, MANA AND HEALTH HACKS and teleport hack

and not being able to seee enough of whats around my hero, like enemies from the back left right front u know... U KNOW? WHEN u got a labtop and its hard to see whats above u and below u?!?!

One thing that frustrates me is that i hate disconnects. Maybe add a reconnect option because a lot of people disconnect from tech difficulties. Also an ability to report people and assuming it will be on steam i am looking forward for achievements. Smile

The only thing that bugs me about DotA, is the lack of animation and effects. As it was only a MOD for WC3. Hopefully, with today's graphics engines, this will be solved.

I hate the people who feed, not so much as a person whose new to the game, but the ones that just run into the towers with caps lock on saying KILL ME FREE GOLD!!!!!

What i hate are imbalanced randoms when i play ar games. When we get 3 agility and 2 int heroes without tank.. And of course, other team gets 2 tanks, 1 agility and 2 int heroes and eat us for breakfast..

Those randoms should really get balanced asap.

yeah. the random draft should be balanced for both teams.

Ar mode should definetly become rebalanced. I find large amounts of hosts who rape ar mode, but for what reason. Everything is ok while they get good combos, but when they (or we) don't, problems start. Even someone could say that you can win with every hero combination if you play smart, i can't expect from random guys in public games to play serious every frikin time.

I m for random which will random 2 str, 2 int and 1 agi hero. That is balanced ar.

The randoms doesn't mean very much compared to the players. A decent team of 5 fragile agi-meele-carries can easily beat a perfectly balanced team of noobs.

But in higher division games I can agree with the problem, that's why games like that hardly ever are -ar.
It's a hard thing to balance, though, cause if you do balance it by some rule of "2 str, 1 agi, 2 int", all the fun of getting a random team disappears. And it's not always the main attribute (str, agi, int) that matters for in game role. Storm, for example, is one of the best carries in game and Venomancer is an excellent support.

Yeah, you are right with that, but still, making some -arb (ar balanced) mode, could become pretty popular to play.

Actually i don't know. Maybe filtering heroes into groups which are full tanks (as cent and axe are), full carries (mortred, magina) and nukers and pick 3 heroes from those sections. Then you get additional 2 random heroes. This way it's way more balanced but still you have all random atmosphere.

But there are many more categories than tank, nuker, carry. Sologanker, initiator, support etc.

I think it's very hard, if not impossible, to make random balanced without taking away the randomness.

Yea i know that, but 3 heroes should definetly come from those 3 groups, cause every team needs tank,carry and nuker. other 2 heroes could be from other groups (initiators, supports, baby sitters and so on)

The role thing is hard to divide into, some heroes may even go under multiply categories.
Also, what is a tank in dota? For a tank to be useful, he have draw aggro, and except from axe, nothing is forcing you to attack a certain hero. So you may buff up your hp and armor a lot, but if you do no damage, there's no reason for the enemies to attack you.
My initial thought on -arb would be 1 agi, str, int and 2 randoms, but that's not much more balanced than -ar.
