Like other games have Anti-Pirated is
UBISOFT Games Assasin Creed and R.U.S.E - You need to be online in order to play.
Rockstar Games GTA IV - Shaking screen you will get drunk or headache and stop playing Pirated Games.
The Sims 3 - Need to be offline or turn off auto update or else reinstall entire game.

If its just " Please insert dice in order to play DOTA 2 " - Then definitely going to flying off pirated games shelves before it can be replace.

Not about knowing what is the system is going to be, just want to know are you they aware of this?

Last time i remember Call of Duty Modern Warfare broke the record been having 1,000,000 ++ millions copy of Pirated sold.
Square Enix decided then to do not Release FINAL FANTASY XIII on PC due to pirated and only release for PS3 becuase if still pirated free. ( But today no, we already have PS3 Pirated. ) LOL.

in my country people prefer choose pirated DVD thanOriginal because its cheap(one DVD price same as a can of cola) and its very hard to find original one.

Piracy will never stop unless you have hax.. w8 no nvm piracy will never stop because piracy is how the world goes round...

well, you obviously need to be online to play Dota 2, there are always pirated servers, but it is always kind of hard to achieve, specially when the game will get updates only for those who bought it

Yes the piracy of games is going down due to "have to be online to play" yet there are a lot of people who bypass this with no sweat at all! But im not sure if there is SC2 private servers yet but i know SC2 lasted some time without piracy!

Sc2 was cracked in no time. i remember when the Game came out. there was a cracked version of it available (single player only) in probably less then a months time.
If people are going to want to crack Dota2.. its going to happen.
If Prices are going to be to high, people will resort to that kind of thing, sadly.

sure, if you say so, but DotA2 is only online to play, and it updates so constantly (well, at least that is what i expect, like dota(1)) that making a pirate server is kind of facepalm

So in otherwords you dont think it to be possible at all to crack the game at all because it Multiplayer?

as he said, everything can be cracked. dota 2 will also become cracked. but then, it's up to you will you play cracked or buy full version. and up to valve and ice of course.

After all this i will definitely not have it in me to go the pirate route.
Real dota supporters will do the right thing and buy the game.

yeah every people who have money to buy original and can play official server must do that...
If i can
i also want to use original even if i must to save my daily money for a month.

I really hope there will be a Official African, Southern Africa or just plain South african server. Even though i am getting adsl in a few months i would still like to play on a local server with me mates.

yeah at least each continent have they own official server...

the other idea is allowing some official local server .
to allow ,some country can buy dota2 server from valve for they use with their own people in their country.

How does one go about purchasing a server? What does this cost? What does it cost to run etc?

Arnt the Pirated servers filled with bugs. A mate of mine mentioned that most of the pirate servers suffer greatly from bugs so isnt better to just play on the official servers?

and of course, they only provide service for certain games, and none are MMO like WoW

Since official blizzards 1.25 update, all those hackers will have to wait for updated hacks. now it's time to play

Oh ! i hope DotA 2 could work something out with Garena, you can't believe when USD converted to Local currency... feel like ripped off by own country !! hahaha

but if the price is around HON's then its fine to me, i buy original if i have to.
