Maybe, we can organize a hero-specific contest set on a regular basis (let's say two weeks, for now). Before every comepition, we can create a poll where people vote for the hero they wan't to draw/see (I think it would be reasonable to use the models from Dota 2, because we're all bored of DotA models at this point). After the desired hero has been selected through voting, the participants proceed the work (until the deadline, which is two weeks). I don't know what the price for this cometition should be. Anyway, what do you guys think about it?

| T-up for bazinga idea
or maybe try to draw dota1 hero which not available yet in dota2... ex: how Invoker/meepo/Terrorblade looks like in dota2 ?? "
if we can know what hero will be released on the next update, we can pick the winner by searching the most similar art with the valve model when it released

T-up for Bazinga! Like the idea, i think it will be better if we stick to the dota2 heroes and working on creating simple sig contests for now, which will all work in a 2 week time frame. Anything longer then that is just boring and anything shorter then that is just lame...... so T-up for 2 weeks. As far as prizes go im not 100% sure what we can give them, we dont really have access to beta keys last time i checked, so that is pretty lame. I suppose the best we can so is just doing for the community for fun, people will receive rep just for entering. Any other ideas regarding prizes?

^ Endzeit, I actually think that Quass' idea is better, because we don't have to think of the prices if we arrange the contest correctly AND I'm 101% sure that people are going to find the notion of drawing unreleased heroes exciting! It would be quite cool if the submissions are done through private messages (so no one sees them) and at the end of the contest you make a topic and include all of the entries Then, people can vote and decide which one is best, and he/she get their price (btw, i think you should say that every participant gets +rep if they send their entry). As for prices, we could make a small "fan art" space at the homepage where every week/two weeks we can display quality gfx works. So, the winner of the previously mentioned contest gets their image to be displayed on the homepage

I like qasses idea but it doesnt have to be closest to new hero look we could suggest how the hero should look to valve via the art 2 flys in 1 hit

I still think Valve or at least Icefrog could appreciate some good fanart, even if they have already made the models.
