E-IHL is a new inhouse league for DOTA 2 aimed at creating a higher standard of play for players who wish to improve their gameplay, maintain consistency by practicing against other skilled players, and promote a competitive environment.

In E-IHL you are assured that both your opponents and teammates meet a certain standard of play as all E-IHL members must first pass a tryout match by participating in a league game where several gameplay mechanics will scrutinized and judged.

E-IHL is currently ~21 days and has ~130 members at the time of this post [being updated]. We are looking to reach at least 200 active members by the next couple weeks to assure active 5v5 inhouses are available daily. As time goes by, a tier-2 will be created to promote a further elevated level of gameplay. Microphones are necessary.



We currently provide a ventrilo server for our members to communicate with during their matches. Our league matches are run and dictated by a powerful IRC bot that records player stats within the league. We are active on the QuakeNet IRC server in the #tekgaming channel.

E-IHL is also the result of a rigorous search by TEK members to fill their last 2 slots for a full 5-man team in hopes of preparing for future tournaments including the internationals. There were so many decent or skilled DOTA players that applied for tryouts to join TEK that it caused the idea of an inhouse league to be formed. We now are in the search for just one.


We're all aware that human variables can be chaotic, unpredictable, and unreliable. Whenever an organization or system is run by a group of people, personal desires and corruption can be a factor in ruining the integrity of the staff and those in charge. Here at TEK and E-IHL, we have formulated a system of rules and guidelines that even we must follow in order to guarantee our current and future members that a well understood and clear set of rules must be followed. This is not only to assure members that there is a solid system in place that cannot be overridden, but also to keep things simple for ourselves in terms of what should and should not be done in a situation.

Rest assured that integrity will be a valuable focus for the league. Members need not fear a corrupt staff, moderators, or Game Masters.

Pretty soon I'm going to be increasing the minimum skill level requirement for entry once we hit a certain active member count.

Updated the post again with our new method of entry in the same thread link that links to our forum. Basically, you just enter our IRC channel now and ask for a trial vouch, participate in a league game and we'll decide if you stay or go. Play consistently poor thereafter and get unvouched .
