Well the title says it all. LoL has 2 different maps currently and each map changes the gameplay considerably. I would like the idea of Dota 2 having more then just the original map just so old vets could learn something new and find new ways to abuse their favorite chars. What do tou all think? :scratch:

Bringing completely redesigned maps is both good and bad. I think that players who play current map will continue to do so. They are just to settled with the old way and they probably won't experiment often with the new maps. New players however will. And they will be, after some time, the main reason which will persuade us, the old school, to try out them.

Cool idea conan. And i will surely play those new maps. But as admin says, most of us are to used with the basic map. Those maps really need to be something special if they expect from us to play them.

Of course they have to be awesome to make us play it. But then again if Dota wasn't awesome in the first place we wouldn't be playing it . If they did add maps I think they'd pull in the vets just so we could dominate there too :afro:

creating or not a second map with different gameplay will not stop us from playing the game

I would definitely support more maps, as long as they are as well made as the current one, with juggling, ward options, etc..
Maybe make them so they kinda make the game shorter/longer in gameplay, like only adding a base, without the 2 frontline towers.

Yeah that's how the second map of League of Legends is. It is smaller and only two lanes for 3v3 fights its a more fast paced match.

A 3v3 map would be great but id also like to see a 4v4 map. i dont see why there wouldnt be different maps since the community had so many 5v5 and 3v3 games.

I agree with Yeti and also change to the inviroment would be nice

I really got no idea if this would be good or bad, i would like them to make the new maps and let us test them
Also the option to change between different enviorments (like a mod some use for WarcraftIII) would be awesome, for me it works as a way to move away from the repetitive stuff, that is more than enough for it, i feel no need to have a new map , haha

its actually pretty nice to have different maps like in LOL and HON. and yeah, you could also change environments in LOL and HON. and Im sure they'll implement that in DotA2.

I would like if they could add different textures and skins which can be modified in game. Terrain textures, (Hero Textures?) and so on.

Yes, that would be cool

But for Hero Textures, i think they ll make some buy-skin thing. So we will have to pay for new skins :/

Its a tough one.
I Like the idea of it but im not sure if i will actually enjoy playing it. i think it will annoy me incredibly at first but i guess it will eventually grow on me, like HON did.
I hated the idea of HON to be honest, it was pure evil to me. Why Would they do such a thing? then it grew on me.
