It would be really could if you added in these empty spaces pointed in the picture (or any other spaces of your choice) some icons that warn you about something, for example:
Someone just replied to your thread
Someone just replied to you
You've got a new private message
If you guys could do that me and a whole bunch of people would appreciate it
