Hello!

I play DOTA now for a few months and love playing support, but sadly I kind of hit a wall that keeps me from getting better. Because of this I thought I join the anonymous DOTA-Suckers and try to get professional help.

A little about me: I am 32, from Germany and a science teacher and i hate to suck so much in this game. I mean: I know the basics about warding, pulling and stuff, but I am kinda stuck in low tier MMR and I need better players to get better myself...

P.S.: in DOTA I am DrZalmat, too

What kind of issues do you have exactly? If you wish to improve then try a wider variety of hero types and observe how the game plays out and how your team acts accordingly to your needs. By playing a carry you can observe other supports and their actions, especially babysitter supports, though those are far and few between these days. As a ganker/initiator you'll find supports roaming to help you out and you'll see which combinations work well.

If my answer doesn't suffice then please elaborate as to what aspect you look to improve. Sharing a replay would also help.

Unfortunately, this are mostly my issues. No matter what hero i play, i usually am the only one warding and buying the courier and so on, because the supports dont actually support their team. Very rarely i get one that does this things. So my primary issue is that i dont have people i can learn from during play and you can learn only so much from watching replays of others

My immediate goals are learning to improve my harassing, i tend to use up too much mana and hp when doing that and roaming, i tend to miss out too much on xp while doing that

I recommend watching professional games with commentary.

Also, re-watch your own replays to see what you could have done better.

Watch youtube videos on the basics and strategies of the game.
