Hey guys, i'm Sam! I'm a sixteen year old girl(yes, girls do play dota!) from the US. So, about five years ago my friend showed me this terrible looking game called Dota... I liked the basic idea of it but I hated getting stomped. I would only play maybe once or twice a week. I kept on playing it though, then the Dota 2 beta came out so I moved over to that and played terribly for two more years. I knew every heroes stat gain and what each item was and it's cd/duration but I barely even knew how to buy items for a long time. I went on to meet some new friends about a year ago who taught me the basics and then all that extra knowledge was finally usable! I even became the carry of their team(which they recently kicked me out of)!
I don't really think I can say that I have a main role or favorite hero. I love playing all positions, and I prefer to play more "complex" heroes like Invoker, or something similiar to Mirana or Windrunner with aiming the arrows. I will always fail ridiculously hard with "easy" heroes though.
