Glad to find a place where I can come, hang out, and speculate on dota 2 . I played dota A LOT ~5 years ago, only getting back into MOBA's about a year and a half ago when I found League of Legends. Their price system is really starting to bug me now though, so I've started playing HoN a bit now. Just playing these games to hold me off until DotA2 comes out.

As far as my gamer persona: I enjoy streaming, and have the computer and internet connection to do so, and hope to develop an interactive steaming community with Q&A, lessons, game play discussions and more. Perhaps centered around this website(possibly a new tab for streamers in the community??) ;).

Anyway, that is all... back to waiting.

In my personal opinion i think we there is always a use or space for something like that... but for now, make a blog entry and get to know everybody a bit.

we are always more than happy to accept enthusiastic guys with cool ideas. So, can you give more details about what you actually want to make, and if we like the idea, partnership with you won't be a problem!

I guess the easiest way to describe it would be an example of a page that I like.

Solomid.net has a livestream tab that you can click on that leads you to the following page, http://solomid.net/streams.php. In there, it seperates the streams by players belonging to team solomid, and then other steams. Also, it will only show online streamers, making it easy to find someone you want to watch play the game.

However, I would like to expand on that idea, and have a little more organization. Having a pro player section, an interactive section(streamers that interact with people watching on IRC), and a training section(where players can meet up with good streamers and get trained and observed by others who will help).

Something to that extent. Just a place where players can go to show off their skills, get some pointers, and help others get better in the process. In return, help develop a better community then the one that currently exists in most moba's.

First of all, welcome to the portal!

Secondly, i really like your idea cause personal, i kinda more like to watch then play!

I find lots of people enjoy watching people play these games. The top solo player in LoL gets a consistant 5-10k+ viewers on his stream all the time. So it definitely draws in people. I just want to do a little more than just show of top players.

I've considered doing commentary videos, but I enjoy the face to face interaction much more. I like having people on irc chat watching me play and asking questions. Being able to answer them, and having other people in chat help along with that is fun. .

Commentary videos though, I just don't know if I'd have the ability to prevent dead air time. Constantly finding something to talk about would be something I would have to practice, and I just don't know if I'd be up to that. Might be worth trying at some point just to see how it goes.

Try to do at least one for pure fun. =D and if that results entertaining, then u can certainly know u are good for it
