D2D #5 - If you were Icefrog for one day

Welcome to the fifth "Dota 2 Discussion" topic! We will be creating discussion topics like this in order to increase our Portal activity. Furthermore, you will be able to win some cool stuff, mostly Dota 2 items, simply by joining our conversations! I will be donating items directly from my personal inventory and reward those who are most active and constructive! But this time, one of our active members donated an amazing Ursa set (10 €), for only one winner! His name is - Destroyer.

This time it's a rather interesting discussion. If you could get a chance to swap with Icefrog for one day, what would you change in Dota? Would you add something, delete something, switch something? Would you change the look of the map or would you do a funny update?

Important info!

There are a few things that you should be aware of.

1. You have to have at least 10 posts in order to win the item(s).

This doesn't mean that you have to post 10 replies in this topic! Don't spam with simple "one-word" posts, we hate that! You have many cool forums on our site, browse through them and reply to some. Easy as that!

2. Only constructive replies with a good content will be taken into an account.

Don't just say - Yes, I like this idea. Tell us what you like and why! We will read every single comment, don't worry. We also plan to join you and discuss with you! Of course, breaking the common forum rules won't be tolerated (double posts, cursing, trolling etc.)

3. When will we decide about the item winners?

We will do discussions like this very often, so there is a high chance that you will eventually get something cool from us. Once we publish our next discussion, we will again read through the comments from the previous discussion and randomly reward 2-3 guys (2-3 items) with the "normal" comments that have more than 10-15 words. Help us to create a nice discussion environment and I promise that eventually we will provide you with very, very cool items!

I would take a picture of myself and hide it somewhere in the map, where to find it, you would need to complete an uber super secret quest!

Well, it has been a while but it's time to stop lurking for a bit

Anyways, I would add small glitches in the map to really annoy some players such as walking up and down a ramp 7 times (up and down each counts as one time) the hero will 'warp' to the opposite equivalent ramp e.g cm walks up and down the radiant's side ramp 7 times and instantly warps to the dire's side ramp would be entertaining to see the confusion some players experience but smart players will figure out that it's actually an 'insta-gank' or defense method

Another glitch will cause the enemy team's hero's to become unselectable so that it's an easy win however, both teams can cause this glitch so it will become a race to see who can glitch the enemies team first ;) it will involve a puzzle that the team has to complete, following the glues from one objective to the next

In other words, I would create a fun map just for teh lulz

If I were Icefrog for one day? MAN! It's gonna be hella fun! I would a super OP Hero where you have to type in some code to unlock it and play the hero. The hero's should have a menu where you can search and choose spells to use. This includes all spells from all heroes and creeps. I'd make secret quests where you can get +5000 HP and +4000 MP and makes your hero into Chuck Norris Have cheats in normal games and finally, you can control any unit in the map for teh lulz! :3

Well , two thoughts come to mind . The troll one : where I'd rename all the heroes and items and everything like those in LoL and watch for a whole day the entire community rage , then I'll turn it all back to normal and the serious one , where I'd probably speed up the hero implementation in DotA 2 so we could finally have techies and slark and troll and all the other heroes we love.

If I was Icefrog I would buff cm and wisp some more hahahaha And make random trolls all over the map

Trolls like you banebu? wisp and cm are good enough already haha.

I am playing Dota and lol so first of all I want to say that if I was the creator of lol I would change a lot but when it comes down to Dota there are not many things I would change I guess.
Some of the items arent used very often but should be.
SnY for example is one of this items. The item doesnt fit to all heros, its based on chasers which slow their enemy with sange and are faster than them anyway because of yasha but the effect is rather weak. If you have a Manta which is built way more than SnY then another yasha in form off SnY wont stack. So I would make them stackable for some speed builts and I would increase the chance to slow enemys from 15 to 25% because when you chase somebody you need luck to get a kill, you prolly hit him 4-5 times before he finally escapes. He escapes anyway if you dont slow him. The slow of orb venom is 12% for melee and has a 100% chance so its prolly way better if you compare the price performance ratio.

Well i would troll by changing the hereos images such as tidehunter looking like a cow and confusing people to think why my th become es!
Also like those dota fanpage on facebook come out troll hereos like darth vader and such it would surelyb e amusing to watch their reactions.
Or best still go into people match and pause the game and troll by saying "glhf bye bye" then resume.

For proper usage would definately be nerfing OP hereos such as drow ranger now.. "the first skill is just too much 60% slow at level 4"

if i were icefrog, i would create another unique gamemode just like the Diretide event but with more rules and objectives^^

well why not make an event every other month (*christmas) so every player won't get bored and rather thrilled for the new surprises every in-game event^^

I would make tide look like kunka and vice. I would rename kotl to gandalf, and would remake branches' icon into rapiers', and make them dropable just for the lolz..

Implement the achievements!
DOTA 2 prints and posters and stickers in the shop ( I know this is Valve's part but I could persuade them to do it)

Also a new feature that allows the players to level up per hero played. To make it clearer: it kind of works like the profile level up, you rack up points up to 1000 or wtv and when you reach the threshold you get a (let's say) Level 2 Crystal Maiden. This level up changes her appearance a bit in the preview and icon area. Bigger boobs, different haircut, eyeliner etc etc Ooooooor it could be simply just for the statistics so when you join a party or a match and someone looks on your profile page, they can see at the "Most played heroes" what level you have on them and can make an idea of how skilled you are with that specific hero.
I would make a special event containing an old DOTA map with heroes having the old spells and stats for people to play and reminisce or an IMBA map with overpowered spells so we can s*** ourselves when a 50 foot long fissure hits us
