One of the new features of dota 2 now is the customization of your own favorite hero. this allows you edit and play the heroes with different appearance. this should put more enthusiasm to the players.

unfortunately, some players seem to overprice most of the items on trade. What do you think will happen to new dota 2 players that just has started and just recently acquire few items? Wouldn't it frustrate them?

if only the administrators increase the drop rates or if they could host more in-game events, then it would somehow lower the prices of item trades.

It would probably frustrate them I guess, I'm not into trading but I know some items are damn expensive

Since i took a break from DotA 2 i dont really have enough items so i think that my opinion matters.
Well it doesnt reawlly frustrate me since i know that after 20-30 games i will have enough customizable items.Even so cause i do soeme work around graphics.I know the effort that some people do to create those items or even so they put some times from their free time to design and create those items.So i dont really think that they overprice it(plus the money that have to take the steam from creating the game etc.etc.)

^He's referring to those people who exchange items between one another not buy.

If you just have a few items the trade is not a place for you.You cant trade an item with some crap.Ofc the seller always will make more profit than the buyer in a trade.Thats the market rules.We cant change them.Regarding to the new players.I dont think that any of them will trade like 2 or 3 items for 1.or a mythical or rare item for an uncommon or eve na common one.First of all for them they have to farm some items (gridding, any game have to have a sort of gridding or replayability) then go out at the trading posts.

I don't like the tf2 guys, he want 1 scrap for 3 items in dota, 1 scrap = 2 dota items or 2 weapons 2 dota items

its harder to price items because of Dota not haven't a consistent form of currency like metal in Tf2

I guess most people still focus on the game, but not the items?

meh, metal is one of reason why tf2 key and regular hat prices keep droping in term of $ , even there are idle farming .
thats why tf2 key < dota2 key on market price

dota2 item still more stable in $ currency. but yes its harder to price coz item rarity sometimes mean nothing (Ex : brewmaster mythcal flail)

afterall the basic principle for item investement is still same as tf2
Buds,high tier hat & misc = DC hook , TB ,etc

it's colorful for 1 good game like DoTa2

i think its just fair. its not that important though. just plain cosmetics. they are like "bonus" of the game

not all players care for cosmetic items.

I am very careful myself with trading since a lot of people overprice but then in don't trade that often.

Trading is fun but its hard because everyone wants a good deal and with such a fluctuating market you really dont want be ripped off and so people play it safe or try to scam new or unnaware plays e.g. a new player would no doubt trade a uncommon for a rare no matter what there worth because they just see the label

usually players overprice their item but when they want other item they just lowball so its really hard to find a good deal

People are reselling the ti3 ticket 3x the original price...
