I know that there are some gamers (incl myself) that frown on people spending money on cosmetics items.
We should actually be grateful to these people for supporting the dota 2 game.
Just like all businesses if they realized that something isn't making money, you can be sure they are gonna axed it.
Of course they can make money from sponsors and competitions and such but I'd hate to see it happen if it does.
So please spend a dollar once a year just to say thanks to those people who invited your ungrateful self to play dota.
Think of it as charity.

Or if you are openly against any form of charity, then its fine. I hope you get fucked repeatedly by monkeys and die from a new form of HIV virus that is only harmful to yourself.

It doesn't matter what other people think. Purchasing cosmetics should be all about yourself (not in a selfish manner) If you like the item, buy it. Of course, all of it will go towards the Dota 2 team/Valve, but you won't need to feel guilty about purchasing cosmetics or 'wasting' money. After all, life is made up of all these little things. If it brings you happiness and fulfillment, by all means go ahead.

Yeah , it's not that bad. Firstly it's not a lot of money you're spending and .. let's be honest . You spend money to get what you like , or what makes you happy. We all do it . It doesn't matter what it is . and dota 2 items are one of the most harmless things you could buy for your pleasure . Compared to cigars for example.

Also , buying items helps Valve invest more and more in DotA 2 . And we all want that.
