Hello everyone, i have been lurking this site for a while now and i have had much use of it so far. So i thought a registration would be in place!

So who am i?
29 (soon 30, geez, bring on the wheelchairs) years old gamer/musician from Sweden, I've played some DotA before. A friend introduced me to it around 2005, he had been playing for years. I had some fun, he told me to pick "a newbie friendly hero, like sniper" (now in hindsight he is laughing about that "protip" because sniper is not really a newbie hero per se) and follow his command. We had some success, i could see that he had been playing _alot_, because he pulled some stuff off with his heroes that i didnt really understand, but people died all over the place. Later on i took an interest in Strygwyr, heck, the name is cool, his model is neat, his skills looked amusing. But then other games came in the way and i forgot about DotA for a while. I got invited to a game called Heroes of Newerth really early in the beta phase and decided to try it out. It was a bit faster, but it felt nice. animations was mostly well done and you could tell it was a brand new engine. So now, 2011, after putting endless hours into it and well over 3500 games played i felt enough is enough. I am psyched about dota2.

At first i thought that i didnt want to play dota2, but when i came over the leaked (?) screens i was sold. It just looked so clean. After all its Valve. And after the invitational 1mil competition in august I was as sold as I could.
-I shall wait for this game, I mumbled to myself.

Then all of a sudden a friendly soul gave me an invite to Dota2 last week. I guess you can say "the rest is history". I've been having a good time so far with Dota2 and i dont see myself going back to Newerth, we had our times, but the times are changing.

So anyway, im hoping to be a part of this community and I'm eager to learn, so im absorbing every and all info i can from old school dota players

nice intro m8 well don't be sad I am 27 years old as well and still playing dota and still waiting for a Dota 2 beta key ;)
anyway I hope you will find all what you need in this community you can find the hero section very interesting specially the videos that introduces the hero and his skills
