I think there will be major new looking heroes in DotA2,but I hope some Heroes at first DotA not change,like Morphling and Drow Ranger.

Graphic is really important to me and i would not mind to see some heroes redesigned. Myb Axe won't longer be an ape on steroids, but some kind of uber rhino or tiger. Yea, i would surely love to see some new hero design, some of them basicly and some of them completely changed.

That is nice idea and I would really like to see some new and cute heroes. But i would not like to see my favorite hero changed - one and only Luna

OMG I would love it if they changed the way some of my favorite heroes looks. Centaur Warchief, Viper, Goblin Techies ( for the :lol!: ) Jakiro twin headed and Dragon Knight . It would be awesome. Plus the game is going through an overhaul why not the characters XP

i think that "creating" a new game like DotA2 sure will have some new characters and sure will be different from the old one.that's why they are making new things

yeah the design for new and old heroes must be epic!!!

Some heroes would probably be nice to completely redesign, but many of them should stay like they are now =)

Some that I wouldn't mind getting changed: Void, Rikimaru (make him less creepish?), razor.

i expect some to stay the same but most to change. what i hope is the item names dont change, i hate re-learning names for combinations.

i hope they will fix the warcraft looking heroes so they dont get problems with blizz for *stealing* their characters or whatever they say.

and new design / graphics wouldnt hurt imo

uhmm...... i think new vs old?,it would be just great if you will just change the looks of the old hero to a new cool one!...

Some might be just more realistic edit like Drow Ranger, Lina but new hero design will be fine too.

Yeah. Maybe a few heroes should be retained in terms of Design. but of course, I would sure like to see heroes which are redone completely.

Can spectre be considered owned by blizzard because of the model or is it considered a user created character cause spec just looks awesome.

Im not sure this is the right place for this, but the model used for spectre is owned by blizzard. because they only used the Vengeance model for spectre.

So, to sum up, we would all like to see new heroes but heroes which will remind us on original dota design.

Hmm I would't realy like a total change on heroes that are popular, and picked constantly. I would like for old heroes to just graphicly upgrade, but not change

I really really want to have the same models of warcraft in most of the heroes, for example blood seeker, but they changed it. I wish if they change any other hero, they change it for good. There is also the problem with cop rights, im not sure but i think that is one of the reasons for not using exactly he same models.

I think it will be all good as long as it is not like HoN, PLEASE. In HoN all, ALL heroes are ugly FAT HUMANOIDS. That just freaked me out in HoN, imagine Nerubian(s) as humanoid, puck as humanoid, juggernaut as a fat humanoid >.>

the main reason why the're not going for the same models is because, Blizzard owns the models used in DotA1. and yadayada. lawsuits.

But they always can make similar models. I mean, they don't need to take ape for Axe but some kind of rhino would be also cool. But it's important that new look of heroes remind us on DotA 1 heroes.

This can be easily overrided as avalon said. Just make similar heroes and that's it.

the new drow ranger and lina from pic look similar from older model
new morpling maybe very similar but i think it will be real water

hate Dark lady model,scout,etc

but some model like van helsing (Lion) , Pesti (slardar) and Valkrie (Potm) is fine

I think there are some heroes that definitely require new hero models.
Some Of the heroes should stay the same... like Morph.

A hero that i think would definitely need a remake if he is included in the new dota would be Bounty hunter, that is one ugly ass hero.

^ yeah, dark seer, and bounty hunter, NEED a change. I REALLY want to see how they make puck, i wish puck could be some, still small, but badass black magic dragon, or something like that, instead of its current model, which i dislike
and i would NOT like Earth shaker's model changing!!! >.<

You have Viper (some kind of black dragon)
