Will the hero picking work the same as normal DotA or will there be some modding added because i play LoL and i enjoy it and i must say they have a fun way of doing the heroes . Once every week they add 10 free heroes to play with and then as you win or lose games you guy points to buy new heroes and you can play with that hero the whole time every game with that hero and every different type of hero coasts a different prices . I don't know about you guys but for me that's really fun . Because then it feels like i worked hard to get that hero and i will enjoy him more then i would if i can just play with all the heroes. Well that's my opinion.

I don't actually know how that picking/buying thing works, but DotA system is fine for me. I must admit I don't like that buying new heroes thing cause if I, as new player, come to play, i need to play with default set of some lame heroes? And wait for some time to earn points to buy and finally play with some new and cool heroes? Hmm, not working for me. But that's my opinion.

the thing i like the most about that system is you get to play with a lot of different heroes and yea some of them won't be fun and i agree with you in the whole thing but i just feel more like i deserve a hero when i buy him with points i worked for to get and earn. But if you guys don't change it who am i to complain cause at the end of the day you games made the game and either way i am going to buy it . But i was just curious as to if you might give it a try or maybe revamping it or changing it or not even using it C=

That buying thing is good and bad. For me is bad

It'll probably work mostly like dota, but I guess it wont really be a buying system, but an actual picking system
I wonder if there will still be a bonus for random though.

They'll probably keep as many DotA mechanics as possible, so probably yes on the random bonus.

that hero buying in lOl, i dont like, i can agree with icefrog about coming new and choosing lame heros. after getting good with a hero they suddenly switch up and u have to choose new heros

and the heros u got good with sometimes u have to pay a ridiculous ammount of INFLUENCE POINTS that takes weeks of gameplay for ONE HERO

I would actually prefer it, if the Hero picking phase was similar to HoN's. as simple as that.

Well, I heard that at level 20, people can start playing "draft mode" which lets them use all the characters. My friends that play also argue that it's not that hard to grind for a hero.

I also like HoN's pick style. As in being forced to pick a hero before the game starts.

there is the random bonus, its all pick atm and in practice u can do captains mode. and ofc u dont need to buy heros.
